Google Expands the Reach of Google+ on YouTube
Google Inc., the parent company of the massive video sharing website YouTube, is expanding the reach of its Google+ platform in a continued attempt to compete with Facebook.
YouTube now has a button allowing users to share a video on the website with their Google+ friends in a “Hangout” session. Google+ users have previously been able to initiate a hangout session from the confines of Google+ itself, but now these sessions can be started directly from YouTube.
Google launched Google+ in June in a bid to compete with Facebook for the social media market. Google has a long way to go to close the gap with Facebook, but this little step is a step in the right direction by expanding the reach of their service to other sites.
